hi,
I am sharing a report to a user in another domain. In this test, I own both accounts.
When I share the report, the user gets a link with this URL:
This link works fine on my PC. I log in with the username and password of the account I'm sharing to and it shows the report.
However, on iOS, multiple thing seem to go wrong.
First, the link opens in Safari. Then it asks me to open the app in Power BI. I click yes and it opens Power BI, but it immediately opens Safari again, where it opens the report. I've recorded a small video of this behaviour.
If I'm logged in with an account from the same domain, it seems to open the app, though.
I also tried to edit the URL, so it looks like this:
But that only seems to work in the same domain. From the other domain, I get the message
Couldn't get data
Looks like this report is unavailable. It may have been deleted, you may not have permissions to open it,or the link you clicked on may be broken or expired.
How can I get the report to open in the iOS app using the account from the 2nd domain? And is there a way to create a URL that opens Power BI without having to go through Safari first, while also still working on Windows?

Hi @thefal,
I'm afraid this is by design (or a limitation) for now. Please refer to #share-a-dashboard-or-report-with-people-outside-your-organization.
>>>If you send a link from a Power BI mobile app to people outside your organization, when they click the link the dashboard opens in a browser, not in the Power BI mobile app.
I would suggest you vote up this idea.
Best Regards,
Dale
