Report copied trought Workspaces doesn´t receive the changes from the original one

Hello guys,

We are facing an huge problem here, since we copied one Report from one Workspace to another, but the changes from the original one seens to no affect the copied one. Data changes appears but filter changes and visual changes not.

Any help please?

I´ve already checked Microsoft docs but there´s nothing explained there:

There´s any workarround for this? It is ridiculous to doesn´t have something like this.

Why do you want the same report to appear in two different places ? What functionality would that give you ?

Hi @brunozanoelo

The key thing here is that you copied from one workspace to another.

Say you are copying a Report from Workspace A to Workspace B.

Power BI creates a copy of the Report from A in B. They are two separate reports, call them Ra and Rb.

Ra links to the data in Workspace A, Rb also links to the data in Workspace A because it was copied from there.

You can edit viualisations etc. in Ra and Rb will not be affected. Equally you can edit visalisations in Rb and Ra will not be affected.

As far as I'm aware, filter and visualisation changes in one Report will not affect any other Report, no matter how they were created.

Hope this helps

Stuart
