The original post ( Rename an Existing Enterprise Gateway ) solution doesn't seem to apply anymore now that the Manage Gateways screen refers to the cluster and yet the lineage and error messages ( for gateways that need to be updated ) still mention individual gateways. Can the lineage view be updated to reflect the cluster? Or can we have an option to edit individual gateways within the cluster?

Hi, @galaeci
It is unavailable to rename an exsiting enterprise gateway currently. The name of data gateway is determined when you install the gateway. You can use an on-premises data gateway cluster to avoid single points of failure and to load balance traffic across gateways in a cluster. To add new gateway members to a gateway cluster, see Add another gateway to create a cluster.
You may modify the gateway cluster names when you go to 'Manage Gateway' page.
For further information, please refer Manage on-premises data gateway high-availability clusters and load balancing .
Best Regards
Allan
