Per 2020, it was no longer possible to rename an Enterprise (i.e. Standard) Gateway.

It's fairly confusing - say you name your first gateway for the name of the server its on. Then you want to migrate that gateway - ok you use the reovery key - but the now-misleading name comes with it.
I wanted to see if anything has changed since 2020. I can't see anything in the GUI, but idk.
Thanks

Hi @mmace1,
AFAIK, you cannot change the name of a data gateway in a cluster.
However, if you are dealing with the non-primary data gateway in a cluster, you can simply delete it from the cluster and the server, and then install it with a new name under the same cluster.

Thanks. It's not specific to being in a cluster though, right? i..e a single gateway by itself - if restoring it on a new machine - the old gateway name comes with the 'restore'.
Hi @mmace1,
A gateway is always part of a cluster.
A single gateway is a gateway cluster with a single primary node.
You can rename the cluster.
You cannot rename the gateway.
You can see the name of the server on which the gateway is installed.
