Refreshing problem with Exchange connection: ErrorItemNotFound

Hi,

Since recently I have a problem with refreshing in a service the report connected to Microsoft Exchange. Until last Thursday everything went OK: scheduled and on demand refreshes went without any problem. Since then I got each time such an error massage:

“ErrorItemNotFound: The specified object was not found in the store., The processs failed to get the correct properties.. The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface. […]”

The connection is to Exchange Online using OAuth2.

In the desktop the report it refreshes fine.

Any hints how to fix it?

Regards,
Dariusz

Hi @Ole111 ,

For this type of problem, it may be caused by a permission issue. If you’re using an Exchange 365 subscription (either purchased as a standalone product or via your enterprise Office 365 subscription), you won’t log in using the ‘obviously’ named “Exchange account” option, but rather, you will need to use the “Microsoft account” option...

For more details, you can read related blog as below:

Power BI: Get Data from Exchange < Article < Blog | SumProduct are experts in Excel Training: Financ...

You can also refer to the following solutions to similar problems:

Global mailbox as datasource in PowerBI Desktop - Page 2 - Microsoft Power BI Community

Solved: Connect to Shared Calendars - Microsoft Power BI Community

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and related operation screenshoots. Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry

@v-henryk-mstf ,
Finally, I managet to fix it.

I had to clear out existing credencial settings. And after creating a new connection from the scratch using Windows Account - as you indicated - it worked out.

Many thanks and regards,

Dariusz

Hi @v-henryk-mstf

This issue appears either I connect via Exchange or Microsoft Account.

The full message is:

"Data source error: ErrorItemNotFound: The specified object was not found in the store., The process failed to get the correct properties.. The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface. Please review the error message and provider documentation for further information and corrective action.
