Hi,
I've had a dataset refresh disabled due to inactivity this morning; it's not the first time but it has got me thinking.
This specific dataset is not designed to be 'seen' by an end user; it refreshes and runs a paginated report on a subscription shortly after. With this in mind, I will have to always make sure to open the report up on a routine basis to avoid it being disabled which doesn't make much sense. The dataset is running and is being used, this feels like a bit of a gap in the process.
Is there anything in the pipeline to change the behaviour here, or is there another way to ensure the dataset is 'viewed' so that I don't get a disabled warning and a potential disruption to service.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I'd suggest logging this as a bug in the issues section so Microsoft can action this.

Thanks @Anonymous and @GilbertQ
I've added a new bug here: Bug - Refresh disabled on Shared Datasets linked to Paginated Reports
