I am getting above error when powerBI is getting connected with Redshift using direct query
HI @SOLORAJG2,
Credentials which you input at power bi desktop side not auto transfer to power bi service. After you publish this report to power bi service, you need to manually update the credentials at 'settings -> datasets -> data source credentials'.
In addition, if above not help, please provide more detailed information about this issue.
Regards,
Xiaoxin Sheng
Hello Xiaoxin, sorry to resurrect this post, but is there a way to update the credentials without a human manually doing so? Can I do so through the REST API? If not, this is very bad as we were hoping to use power bi services to distribute content to our client, each with their own dataset and having to have a human touch every dataset every deployment is unscslable and unworkable.
Many thanks
