I have a report that is published on the Power BI Service. I deleted the report temporarily and re-published an updated version. Naturally, I lost the usage metrics upon deletion and now I only have usage data from the time of re-publishing.
Is there a way for me to recover the old report or at least just its usage metrics?
Thanks
Hi @zksasd,
If you delete a report and re-publish it to Power BI service, the new updated report is different from the original one. They are recognized as two separate reports on service. So, you would only see usage data of the new version. It is not available to recover the old report and its usage metrics. To keep the usage metrics, I would suggest your make a copy of the usage report (File-> Save as). That way, even you delete the relative report, the usage report and usage metrics model are remian.

Hi,
Is it still the case? I did the same as the OP and am stunned that all the old data has been removed without warning. Just want to confirm there is still no way to recover previous metric records?
Thanks,
