Real time consuming xml and build dashboard

Dear,

I have a scenario where a sensor is sending xml files in a shared location.

Sensor send the xml files in every 5 minutes.

    I need to have a real time dashboard consuming this xl file.

    The xml file is sending the name with same name and it is replacing the existing file, how could I append with existing data

Is there any way to achieve this? I know we have option to create stream data, however it needs to have some API or should come from the even hub or IoT hub via Azure.

In this scenario, instead of sending XML files, you it's better to send data directly or you create your own application to parse the XML timely and push the data to Power BI so that Power BI can generate a streaming dataset. You don't have to use Event Hub/IoT Hub on Azure.

to create a application and send data, we need build a applcation (.Net coding) to create dataset to use REST API and register this devic ewith power bi right?

send dta directly, you meant to give this url as web source in powerb and use?
