Re: Slow Overwrite Publishing to the PBI Service

I'm experiencing this as well - reports under 10 mb in size are taking 20+ min to "publish" whereas uploading the file takes 30 seconds. Is this expected behavior? Are some experiencing this or many?

Hi, @bsewell47

Did you make changes to the underlying data source? The reconstruction of the model will slow down the overwrite publishing of the dataset/report to some extent.

If the issue persists, you may need open a support ticket to ask the Power BI support team to look into it.

Fortunately, I am not having this problem currently. Back then, I did this. "Go to the service, hit the Get Data button (bottom left), choose Local file, browse to the .pbix file, and upload."
