RLS not filtering content in embedded tiles on D365 dashboard

We have a report & dashboard that has row level security. There's only one role - it's so the users will only see their own records. There are approximately 100 users in this role. We have two dashboard tiles that display on a D365 CRM dashboard along with some CRM views.

For the majority of the users, when they view the D365 CRM dashboard it's correctly filtered to their user account. But for some, they see all the records in the embedded tiles - as if they are an admin or member in the workspace. If they view the report or dashboard in Power BI (powerbi.com), it is correctly filtered for them. Within the CRM dashboard, they can click on any of the tiles and it'll open up the overlay window showing the report, and that is correctly filtered for them.

We've verified their access, added and removed them from the workspace, rebuilt the CRM dashboard... nothing fixes the CRM dashboard for these users. Any ideas?

Hi @erincx ,

RLS only works for users with view permission. The user in your workspace should be granted viewer role only in the workspace . Please refer to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-new-workspaces#roles-in-the-new-...

Thank you, but no. As I stated in my question -  If they view the report or dashboard in Power BI (powerbi.com), it is correctly filtered for them. They are in the viewers role.

Hi @erincx ,

If all things works well in power bi. Would you please try to embbed the whole dashboard from the power bi to D365? Please refer to https://www.inkeysolutions.com/blogs/power-bi-embed-report-in-d365-sales-with-rls-2/
