RLS for a single Data Table / Query

Hi

I have one data table that I'd like to apply RLS to within a report that falls in a separate tab.

I assumed that if I applied roles/rls to only this one table, all other users without a role will still be able to see all other data within the Report/Dashboard and not said data but turns out you need to assign a role to everyone to see any of the Dashboard.

Is there anyway around this?

I found a work around. You just need to set a role and apply filters to the data table ="null"

That role will only see (blank)s but I guess it's better than nothing.

Hi @Anonymous,

Currently, we need to assign roles to everyone who need to see the corresponding data on the reports/dashboards.

In this scenario, I would suggest you to vote the idea here which request a default role for row level security to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.Smiley Happy
