Hi all,
I built a couple of R visuals for a Power BI report that run fine in desktop and in the Power BI service. They work both in reports and when added to dashboards as a page/tile. They also export to PDF fine from desktop.
I'd like to subscribe users to the dashboard containing the R visuals, but the R visuals do not display in the email (everything else does). There's a message 'R visuals are not supported with this operation. Learn more' in the PNG, but I can't follow the link because it's just on the PNG. To be clear, the visuals seem to be working everywhere except the emails.
Does anyone know if this is a limitation for the email subscriptions? I've been doing some searching but can't find a reference explicitly to R and subscription emails.
Hi @Trcose ,
The official document provides Considerations and troubleshooting of subscribtion:

Hi Collinq,
Thank you for the response! The R visuals are based off of the same dataset as the rest of the reporting which is refreshing to PBI service nightly. I'm a relatively new PBI user and not sure if that would qualify as Live? R package is just ggplot. The visuals work fine if viewed in the PBI service, just not rendered in the subscritpion email.
Reading through the pages you link, I'm not seeing any references to email limitations. There are limitations on publish to web and printing though. I wonder if that could be related to the missing visuals in the emailed PNG?
Hi @Trcose ,
The email subscriptions don't include Live (at least when subscribing others). Does this R connection have live data?
