Quick measure not exporting with Underlying data

Hi. I have a matrix table comparing spend vs volume per month. The Volume field is a quick measure, with a filter applied to it.

When I export selecting underlying data, the Volume field does not appear in the Excel report.

Is there a way to get the quick measure included in underlying data exports?

Hi @Rhea ,

Please open the pbix file and check if you turn on the option that allow end users to export underlying data.

Thank you.

Yes this option has always been turned on.

It's a bit frustrating as everything else exports except for the column that has the quick measure. I also can't do a basic filter as it will affect my other data on this table.

Would you be able to simulate exporting a report with Quick Measures and see if you get the same issue?

Regards.

Hi,

I may have jumped the gun earlier when saying the issue is fixed.

It is working for matrix reports that have single values, but for some reason it doesn't work if there are two values side by side? In my case, I have a matrix report that shows Volume which is a quick measure, and Spend side by side for each month. When I export underlying data only the Spend gets exported.

Any ideas please?

Hi,

Thanks for that, it's working now.

I found I wasn't set up as Global Admin as I can't see the option for Tenant Settings, but once I had Admin rights it worked.

Strange as this (exporting Quick Measures) seems to be a default setting for Admins but not for for Pro users? And will only get enabled once somebody is assigned an Admin role? Sorry just trying to understand as I'm quite new to the whole process.

Hi @Rhea ,

Sorry for late back. Please check if you enable the option of "Export Data" in Tenant settings of Admin Portal.  And I create a sample to test it. It is working when the option is turned on.
