Hi,
When you click on the Elipsis on a data set there was the "Quick Insights" button... Now I see only "Analyze in Excel", is "Quick Insights" now only available as a pop-up when the data set is loaded so you don't have any chance to get your quick insights later?
Thanks,
Thomas
@TePe I believe quick insights can only be used with data sets that you import. So Direct Query or Live Connection would not have the selection available. Is your data set direct query or live?
So I tested it with different sources. I saw that it's not available with i.e. Direct Query and some times even not with simple tables (i.e. CSVs) I imported. When I imported a more complex CSV I got a confirmation that data was imported successfully together with the option to create quick insights. When I agreed the quick insights were available after some seconds. However there was no way to see them a second time... When I don't select to see the quick insights right after importing I'll never have the chance to open them because the menue button is not there anymore. I would need to reimport them (deleting them first screwing up my reports)... Or am I missing something?
@TePe The behavior I'm seeing is that if I generate Quick Insights and leave the browser open, I can click on the dataset again and there is an option to "View Insights". If I close the browser, and open again, I have the option to select "Quick Insights" again... Are you a Pro licensed user?
I can't seem to produce the issue.
OK, got it... This is a bug in the German version... It works when I change the setting to "English"...
Thanks
Thomas
