Question on RLS Security in PowerBI Desktop

Hello all

Newbie on Powerbi.

Question on RLS in powerbi desktop. I have a simple tabular report that has all the records for all the countries.

I have a table and have a role 'Geography' created for condition Geography = "Canada".  I get the records filtered based on the role., when I 'View as Role' or  'Test as Role'.  I add my email to this role.  When Published, I see  allthe records on Workspace, logged in as me .  I was expecting  the filtered rows to be displayed, based on the role.

Am I missing something here?  Thanks in advance

RLS doesn't apply to you as a developer. Take yourself out of that role, put a regular user in there, and then have them test the role on the service. On the desktop you can test as role but you will also have to specify the user's email address in the "Other User"  test bucket.
