QUESTION ABOUT POWER BI EMAIL SUBSCRIPTION

Hi all,

This is extremely urgent. I recently added some users to my power Bi subscription, and i am habving a problem with power BI sending snap shot of an early date in the mail it sends across to users. When users click on the link, it takes them directly to the current date, but the snapshot has an earlier back date. Can someone help with this please.

Hi @samuelfadare ,

If you're ok with the stored snapshots being PDF or PPTX files, then see https://medium.com/bi-helper/automated-distribution-of-power-bi-reports-and-dashboards-25fde6c68af0 for a fully automated solution.

@samuelfadare  - unfortunatley, that's the expected behaviour. Power BI doens't store snapshots of the reports in Power BI service. So if you click a link on an older subscription, you will be taken to the Power BI report (whcih always have the current data).

You can try creating a Cloud Flow (Power Automate Flows) which can take snapshots of the data or export to PDFs etc.

Hope this helps !
