Hi,
My Power BI data source is from an SQL Server and I use a query to generate a report. The report initially had 12 Columns but after Q&A filters out the data only 8 columns appear. Is it because the way i generated the report or are there any other reasons for it?
Were you able to find a solution to this issue? I'm having the same problem... I search "select * from SALES where ID=12345" and do get the correct record, but only the first 7 fields (leaving out the other 20~). I'd like to allow users to view the entire record. Thanks
Hi @GlaiveKiffer,
If I understand your scenario correctly that you get data from SQL Database by import and use query to generate a report in Power BI Desktop?
Where did you ask a question? Dashboard or reoport?
Normally, the display of the visual is based on the question you type in.
Could you describe your scenario in more details? You also could show some screenshots.
If it is convenient, could you share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that I can have a test with your sample? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)
Best Regards,
Cherry
Hi,
Thanks a lot.
As you can see In the desktop the report with Field Query1 has more columns but when I ask Q&A to show me Query1 it only shows some of the columns. Is there a way I can fix this?
Hi @v-piga-msft,
I generated the table by using an SQL query when connectedmy database server.
