Hi All,
Created a report in PBI Desktop with Oracle db as source, direct query successfully. Created data source in PBI Service and tested successfully. When i published the report and opened the report in PBI Service, it is blank. Where is the issue? Does the DS Name need to the be the same in PBI Desktop and PBI Service? Please advice.
Thanks
@Anonymous- Were you able to resolve the issue? If yes, Could you please share your solution? We are facing the same issue.
Thanks,
Hi @Anonymous
Did you manage the data source under the gateway? please note that:
You can manage the gateway referring below official documents:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-gateway-deployment-guidance
yes i manage the DS under the gateway and the document you shared doesnt resolve the issue. DS connection is successful and MAPPED to the gateway , report is still blank
Any help on this, even with license i cannot open a ticket. This is really a useless complicated tool. 80% of our time goes into trouble shooting issues. When they sold this tool they advertised that non technical people can use this with ease. I seriously doubt it.
Initially i was not able to create report using Oracle client and i downloaded the drives from (ODAC122011_x64) file that i downloaded, but when i publish it to the service the report is blank, one of the user asked me to download correct drivers, what are the correct drivers and where do i download them from , is there a phone number to call the support ?
Thanks
Looks like the issue is the setup of your data source on your gateway. It *seems* like you may not have the correct Oracle drivers installed or something along those lines. You could check the Issues forum here:

And if it is not there, then you could post it.
If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
