Another question about Publish to web

If the report is for publish to web, do you need to publish an app? Im not quite sure how the app sits in the whole process when it comes to publish to web

In fact, these are two different ways of sharing, although they can both be accessed via links.
There is no credential verification for ‘Publish to web’ access, but there is credential verification for ‘Publish an app’.

So there is not much connection between the two.

@DebbieE - No, it's not mandatory to create an app before publishing a report to Web.

You can simply publish the particular report to a website.
