Publish to Web (public) missing on reports created with Oracle Data source.

Hello:

We're looking into the feasibility of publishing a couple of reports (of course non-confidential info.) on our customer facing website and I'm not seeing "Publish to Web (public)" option when selecting Embed option. Only "Sharepoint Online" and " Website or Portal" options are available for selection.

These reports are scheduled for refresh on daily basis in Power BI service. What am I missing here?

Hi @GilbertQ

Thank you for the reply and guidance. Actually, I found out that I need to be a member of a security group created in O365 AD, which is assigned to Publish the reports to the Web. Currently, I'm the owner of that group, but not the member.

Also, I checked with the other user who has access to publish the reports to the web and he is the member of that group.

O365 at times works in wierd ways. One would imagine that the owner of the security group should be having access to publish the reports, but apparently it looks like it's not. 🙂

Hi there

What has happened is that the Power BI Admin has disabled the use of Publish to Web

Chat to your Power BI Admin to get your account added to the Publish to Web option

Here are more details: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-publish-to-web#find-your-power-b...

@onbi, that's true. That's also the case if you want to upgrade the workspace from V1 to V2 for example. You'll have to be the owner and a member of the O365 group to be able to become an Admin of the workspace and thus upgrade it.
