Hi,
Up until mid-January 2017, the page describing Publish to Web (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-publish-to-web/) said that "Real-time data sources" (aka directquery) were not supported. Now it doesn't say anything about real-time/directquery. Does anyone know if this actually works now?
thanks!
Martin

Hi @mbherbener,
Based on my test, the report can be published to web when it connects to the data source use DirectQuery. I found there is a change on dataset which has scheduled cache refresh, I guess the data cached then the Publish to Web is available in DirectQuery report.
Best Regards,

@mbherbener I'm not aware of any change to this, but if they did allow it then it would still be caching a version only because it is on a seperate refresh schedule and you can't initiate it.
