I want to publish a large PBIX file (03 GB), it says it cant publish more tha 01 GB file.

Any other way to do the same, without using direct query(not possible in my case)

Thanks,

Hi @ashraf_SISL1 ,

For PBIX file whose size is larger than 1 GB and smaller than 10 GB, it can only be published to Premium workspaces. For details, you can refer to this document.

The following table shows the recommended SKUs for .pbix file upload or publish to the Power BI service:
SKUSize of .pbix
P1< 3 GB
P2< 6 GB
P3, P4, P5up to 10 GB

Best Regards,

Icey

@ashraf_SISL1 Scale up to a Power BI Premium license. Or, you would need to spin up an Analysis Services instance. Either on premises or in Azure to meet the size needs.

We have premium and we are having problems all over the place with datasets. We are trying to publish a 3 GB dataset which is small that has data imported so it is standalone. We get error on publishing yet it is in the workspace upon checking. Something about a connection closed. Then when users try to access via desktop we get a load moule error with xml parsing error that seems to mean memory is done,.... Capacity health is underutilizd with 14% CPU and less than 40% dataset memory. That is it.... This is killing us any ideas?

Have you had a solution? I'm facing the exact issue here. With premium, but can't publish a file size over 1G. The error message said: connection was closed...
