I have a Power BI report and that Pulls data from Project Online .
Now Client has renamed the field and i have updated the field in the Power BI report in the Desktop. After this change when i publish the report on the powerbi.com the data set refresh gives a error. The dataset is still looking for the old field.
Can any one suggest how to over come this issue .
Hi @YashwantPW ,
AFAIK, current power bi not support dynamic table structure. If you changed fields on database side, you need to fix these fields on query table side first.(power bi desktop -> query editor)
After fix query fields, you need publish new version report to replace original one and update your credentials on power bi service side.
If above not help, please provide more detailed information to help us clarify your scenario.

Hi @v-shex-msft
I have renamed the field in the Power BI desk top and published the report . The report refresh in the Desktop. but when we publish the report on the powerbi.com portal it fails to refresh there.
HI @YashwantPW ,
Can you please share more detail error messages to help us know more clearly?(e.g. 'request id', 'activity id', trace logs..)
In addition, have you configure your data source credentials after publish original report? Is there anything changes on your data source credentials?
