Problems connecting .pbix file in Sharepoint to Powerbi webapp

I'm having issues technical Power BI issue relating to the connection of a Power BI (.pbix) file (saved in a Sharepoint (Teams) server) to the Power BI web app.

I have had no issue in creating these connections previously, but one I tried to create last week has had problems. It comes up with the following issue:

Checking a previous one I set up successfully, the URL string was as follows:

https://xxxxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/FinanceInformation-Sales-PowerBI/

Now the URL string to the exact same Sharepoint server reads like this:

https://xxxxxxx.sharepoint.com/:f:/r/sites/FinanceInformation-Sales-PowerBI/Shared%20Documents/Sales...

The only key difference which comes to mind is that I recently changed over to the new version of Office 365 for Business.

Anyone had the above issue and know how to resolve it? I've escalated the issue to Microsoft but have been waiting for a while with no response.

Regards

Hi @darliusk ,

Please let the URL as the example show. The url of your sharepoint site home page. As the previous one.

Then get your .pbix file under the teams/shared documents folder.

Or you can work with the Workspace OneDrive feature in the new workspaces.you can configure a Microsoft 365 group whose SharePoint Document Library file storage is available to workspace users. You create the group outside of Power BI. (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-new-workspaces#workspace-onedriv...)
