Hello everyone, I have some reports that has some parameters to query the data from a database, this works completelly fine on Power BI desktop as below image shows:
We are now moving to use those reports in Power Bi Web by publishing it from one user and sharing to the other ones. Unfortunatelly we are having issues to use the parameters on the web version, i know the path that we need to follow by going to settings, datasets and parameters as image below:
But only the owner of the report can see this, the ones that received the sharing cannot see or modify it... I have grant all kind of permissions, there is anything that I could possible be missing? Also is it possible to the ones that received the sharing could modify this information to query new data based on parameters?? If it's not possible, what could I do to workaround this?
I found some similar posts but inconclusive answers
Thanks
Hi @Anonymous ,
For a user to make modifications to the parameters, they have to have access to the dataset. if you want non-dataset owners to use parameters, I suggest taking a look at this URL : Filter a report using query string parameters in the URL - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
I would appreciate Kudos if my response was helpful. I would also appreciate it if you would Mark this As a Solution if it solved the problem. Thanks!

Hello @collinq what would be the steps to make the users access the dataset? I've shared the report with them and they are already able to see the report but not manipulate the parameters
Hey @Anonymous ,
You can give them the ability to get there when you share and/or give permissions:
