PowerBi License

Hi

I need to understand PowerBI Licensing/Pricing. My simple requirnemnt is to create reports/dashboards in PowerBI Desktop and Publish them to PowerBI Online. I will generate public links of the reports/dashboard will embed them in my website. PowerBI Pro is enough for this type of work/requirnment.

Thanks

If the reports are truly public.

Paginated reports, think the old SSRS reports

The 1 GB dataset size limitation for Pro is if you import a bunch of data into a data model it can't exceed 1 GB in size. This does not apply to a Direct Query or Live connection.

The 10 GB total size limitation for Pro account, think of it this way. You have 10 1 GB datasets in Power BI published to the Servcie. You will not be able to publish the 11th 1 GB dataset.

@Greg_Deckler

Actually we have Dynamics 365 instance and we are generating reports/charts from Dynamics 365 entities. All of the reports will be public but I am confused about two things which I saw in Pricing Section:

  • Publish and consume paginated reports in Power BI   --  What does this mean ?
  • Maximum size of individual dataset (1 G - PowerBI Pro) -- I don't have dataset in PowerBI all my reports will be based on Dynamics 365 entities but does it mean each PowerBI creates dataset for each report when we publish and maximum capacity would be 1GB for all of reports datasets ?
  • Maximum storage (10 G per user - PowerBI Pro)  - What does this mean.

I would really appreciate you help.

Thanks
