PowerBI Usage Metrics for More than 30 Days

Has anyone found a work-around to getting the PowerBI usage metrics for more than 30 days for a user that doesn't have admin rights?

I have automated the fetching of the data by using UiPath bots to fetch and save to SharePoint and then created my own powerBI visualization from the SP data. However, this is proving to be inefficient considering I am working with increasing reports in different workspaces.

I'll appreciate any suggestions.

To answer your first question - Power BI generates a pre-built report with usage metrics for that content for the last 90 days.

You cannot adjust a setting or store it elsewhere, tweak the connection to the audit logs.

For clarity have a look at this

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-usage-metrics

FOR your Work you can follow the below steps which will be an extra effort but will work :
Track user activities in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

Build Your Own Power BI Audit Log; Usage Metrics Across the Entire Tenant - RADACAD

Export Power BI Audit log in a few Simple Steps with No Code - RADACAD

Basically, you are exporting activity > Putting into Database > Creating your own auditing data.

Hope this helps.

The above links will give you hold of the audit logs in your own SQL server where you can track almost major activities of the power bi service.
