PowerBI Service not responding after choosing filters

Hi,

What happens in PowerBI after I choose a filter is that, it stops responding. The data is still there and all, however clicking on it doesn't do anything at all. 

 Everytime I choose a filter, I need to refresh if I want to select a new filter. Please help.

Is your data DirectQuery data or is it imported into the Power BI Desktop file?

In Power BI Desktop, you can right click on the table and select Properties

Then in the field properties see what the storage mode is set to
