I signed up for the PowerBI Pro 60-day trial, with the primary purpose of reviewing the PowerBI/Excel add-on. However, when I click 'Connect to Data' in Excel, I am informed that this actionr requireas a Pro Licence. When I go to the Licences sections of the Admin console, it shows 'Power BI (free)'. I was expecting a reference to 'Power BI Pro'.
Am I missing something here? Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Thanks,
Gareth.
Hi @Gareth_W
Please make sure you've signed up the pro trial following the official document:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-self-service-signup-for-power-bi#sign-up-for-a-tri...
and then login the power bi again.
If the issue still exists, If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
I followed the proposed process when I signed up, and when I try that method now, I revieve a message telling me that I have already have Power BI.
I do not have a Pro account so I am unable to raise a ticket.
Do you have access to my account? If so, are you able to take any action on your side?
Thanks,
Gareth.
