Power Bi APP audience targeting on report pages

Trying to use different reports from different data sources in the same Power BI APP.

I would like to publish all the reports to one workspace and in one app and limit the user to see only the reports allowed.

Is there a mechanism to apply audience targeting using active directory on the reports in the navigation menu of an app?

RLS is applied but users get error messages or blank pages when trying to access a report they do not have access to. Would like to avoid this.

Example:

Workspace Name: Sales & Quotes

App Name: Sales & Quotes

Navigation Menu:

  • Sales Reports
  • Quote Reports

Users:

  • User 1: See Sales reports
  • User 2: See Quote reports
  • User 3: See both Sales & Quotes Reports

Hi @jvembenil ,

"Is there a mechanism to apply audience targeting using active directory on the reports in the navigation menu of an app?"

- Currently there is no option about this feature in the navigation page of the app, here is the idea about this feature and you can vote for it to help us improve power bi and making this feature coming sonner.

"RLS is applied but users get error messages or blank pages when trying to access a report they do not have access to. Would like to avoid this."

- If you set RLS for each report, when users without permission to visit this report, power bi service will pop up the error warning or there is no data about this user in the report it will show blank pages, it is inevitable in power bi service.
