Power BI service - measures

Hi,

Can we create measures in Power BI service? If not what are the other options, if we need PBI desktop then it doesnt make collaboration easier? The user will have to install this on the desktop?

Hey,

Unfortunately it is not possible to create measures in Power BI Service.

The measures are in the dataset.

If your colleagues build their reports and are connected to this dataset, they will see your change in the measures when you upload your PBI Desktop report.

I don't see any simpler option.

Isnt this a limitation? The user will have to develop the measures in Power BI desktop and then publish again?
