Hi @BI_HCV

First, you need to update your gateway to the latest version, then try to refresh .

Next you need to troubleshooting your issue by following questions .

(1) Is this the only dataset that cannot be updated ? If yes, what is the data source corresponding to your dataset ?

If the data source is SQL , you can increase the CommandTimeout and the ConnectionTimeout parameters to two hours to see if it works. The default value for ComandTimeout is ten minutes and the default value for ConnectionTimeout is driver-dependent. You may go to Power Query to modify them.

(2) The workspace you use is Premium capacity or shared capacity ?

Here’s the refresh time limitation for a scheduled refresh in Power BI service:
Scheduled refresh for imported datasets timeout after two hours. This timeout is increased to five hours for datasets in Premium workspaces. If you encounter this limit, consider reducing the size or complexity of your dataset, or consider breaking the dataset into smaller pieces.

Also, there might be the chance like during your data refresh some other report refresh is also scheduled and you can't go for more than 8 refreshes with a pro license.

(3) Too large data model may be a reason for your scenario, maybe you can try to cut down you data size and try again.
