Power BI service Excel Online doesn't show any data.

Hi,

I have a problem when adding excel sheets to power bi service.

I use the "get data" => "Files" => "Local File" select the xls file.

I get the message to go to the workbook, then the Excel Online screen appears but no data is show. Only the cursor (the small dots going in circles).

I know the excel sheet is loaded because when i create a dashboard based on the excel sheet i see data.

I have tried this in Edge\Chrome and Firefox but no data in the excel online screen is shown.

Thanks

@DirkG

can you please confirm us, is that excel file extension is xls/xlsx?

If it .xls file, save as it into .xlsx and try to upload it now.

Please check the link.

Yes it is an xlsx file, no complexity whatsoever just 2 columns and 10 rows with data.

I did follow the steps mentiond in the link.

Hi @DirkG ,

How did these data stored in your excel worksheet? You imported data to excel file or only store a link who point to specific datasource? Please explain more detail information to help us clarify your scenario.

tried to upload the file in Power Bi Service with Upload option from the Get Data.

Close the Excel file and try to upload it once again.

If you still get any issue, please submit a ticket.
