Power BI not supporting RLS implemented in Azure DB

Hi Community,

I have implemented Row level Security and column level restrictions in Azure DB.The RLS implemented for two users in Azure DB.I am the one who having complete access to the data.  I Develeoped a report in Direct Query Mode in PowerBI by passing a SQL Query to consume the Data. I Published the report into the Workspace. The 2nd user logged into the PowerBI service and viewed the report,he could see all the data. Requirement is, he supposed to see only the data for the restrictions made for him in Azure DB. But he could see all the data.
Also I should not do RLS in PowerBi Desktop. How to do this as per my requirement?

What made you think that this would be possible? As far as I know only SSAS data sources allow credential passthrough (and thus can use data source RLS)

Thanks for replying @lbendlin ...Actually i gone through the below document and had an idea to use like this.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-azure-sql-data-warehouse-with-direct-...

Hi, @Anonymous

RLS set up in Azure DB is not supported by Power BI for now. You may consider setting up RLS in PowerBi Desktop to limit the data that users can access.

You can submit an idea for it at https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums and wait for users with the same needs as you to vote for you to help make it happen as soon as possible.
