Power BI gateway with SSAS 2014 Developer edition

Hi all,

I have been trying to find some reference on how to install Power Bi On premises gateway with SQL 2014 Developer edition, as i need to start developing, what i found was that the Gateway supports live connection with SQL 2014 BI and Enterprise. so is the developer edition not supported in this case?

any help would be appreciated as i have tried for a couple of days, the end result : i was able to connect to SSDE but not SSAS. is it possible and how?

When opening live connection against tabular or multidimensional instances througth On Premise Gateway, for SQL Server 2014, only BI and Enterprise edition SKU are supported. For more details, please see: On-premises data gateway.

Thanks for the reply, I have already read that and a lot more, it was my mistake to assume that the dev edition was to be treated like the enterprise in this case.
