Power BI data alert takes 15 min to fire alert

Hi,

We have MySQL DB hosted on one AWS box and we have set up data alert with it from Power BI Pro. We noticed that there is half hour interval for data refresh. We saw that when data refresh starts. it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to refresh the data and then triggers the data alert which is time consuming and we want to have data alert very next moment when data refresh starts.

For example, when data refresh is scheduled at 1:00 PM then it takes around 1:10 PM to 1:15 PM to refresh the data and then triggers the alert, we want data alert immediately i.e at 1:01 PM or max 1:05 PM.

Can anyone give us pointers on how to do it?

Hi @amitgawali,

Based on document, normally alert feature contains delay. Current I haven't found any effective solution to cutdown refresh delay.

When the data being tracked reaches one of the thresholds you've set, several things will happen. First, Power BI checks to see if it's been more than an hour or more than 24 hours (depending on the option you selected) since the last alert was sent. As long as the data is past the threshold, you'll get an alert.
