Power BI Trial

Hello All,

2 months ago we started Power BI trial that lasted 2 months and we were surprised that the trial period got reset to another 2 months of trial. So, is this a normal thing? will it keep resetting or do I need to subscribe to the Pro version?

Another question, If I chose to not subscribe to any paid versions and use the free version of Power BI, will I still have the ability to publish to the web? and how many reports can I publish? what features will I not be able to use?

Thanks.

Hey @BI-Team1 ,

that happens once in a while. I personally also got another 60 days after the first 60 days, some colleagues didn't. So I don't know why but it happens once in a while.

If you don't subscribe to a paid version you can only use "My Workspace". You can still publish to web on your workspace, this will also work without a paid plan.

If you need any help please let me know.
If I answered your question I would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution ✔️ and give it a thumbs up 👍

Best regards

Hi @BI-Team1 ,

Both Power BI free and pro users can use "Publish to web" feature, any consumer of the report (the readers, viewers) do not need to be Power BI users.
Therefore, when your permission becomes free, it will still not affect your report published by publish to web.

For a detailed introduction and restrictions on this function, you can refer to the following official documents.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry

Thanks a lot for your quick reply.

Is there a limit to the published web reports on the free version? and what features will I lose when downgrading to the free version?

Regards,

Wally
