Hello,
I would like to get some information about the best possible way to connect Power BI Service with JIRA Server. We have a scenario where Power BI Service needs to connect with JIRA API and retrieve data on the basis of logged-in user rights in service. The BI dashboard will be built around the user rights in JIRA, and show only the data in the BI dashboard which he has access in JIRA Server.
I have seen few connectors on Jira Marketplace which make the connection from the Power BI desktop and JIRA API which requires the login prompt to fetch the data. It works fine in Desktop as users are not refreshing data every minute but in Service loading the data for each user every time he logins would be very slow and time-consuming as well. Is there any JIRA connector that solves this issue or any Power BI built-in features that let us cache the data on service and not load every time for each user.
Does anyone know in general, what is a standard solution while connecting JIRA data with Power BI?
Thank you.
Hi , @alihassan
You can check the solutions in these related threads.
You can also try these connector(they may not be free).

We use both the REST API connector and the ODATA connector. I don't think there's that much of a performance difference but ODATA seems to be a bit more flexible.
