Power BI Service - Some of the Data Missing after refresh

Hi,

I created a report in Power Bi Desktop. The report runs all fine and refreshes all ok in Desktop. The data is coming through odata feed from an external source. When I publish the report on Power Bi Service, everything seems to be ok. However, once I refresh the dataset, data goes missing, data for Apr to Oct (inclusive) doesn't show up on the report. The desktop version is still working fine and showing all the data.

The funny thing is this was working fine then all of a sudden a few days ago this started happening.

Can someone please help as I have search for an answer but found nothing to resolve this.

Try to update the gateway to the latest version, and clear browser cache, also go to dataset check refresh history to check if the refresh is successful.

Hi Lin,

 

I reinstalled the gateway a few days ago from the Power Bi website so I am assuming it's the latest version. I clear the browser and issue is still there. I tried it on both IE and Google browsers and still the same.

The refresh works fine and completed.

I have no filters set which seems to be the case in the links you provided.

If you download the pbix file (copy) from power bi service, then refresh the pbix file, is it same with the power bi service. If you still have the problem, I suggest you create a support ticket in Power BI Support to get further help.

Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".

Hi Lin,

 

So I downloaded the file from Power Bi Service and refreshed it in Power Bi Desktop and it refreshed fine.

The problem only occurs when you refresh it in Service.
