Power BI Sensitivity label and Power BI Deployment pipelines

Hello,

In our organisation we have publish reports with differet sensitivity labels, it is just our policy which was implemented last week. Before this was done we were able to use Power BI Deployment pipelines to push reports from Dev to Test to Prod workspaces.
We are not able to do it anymore, because all our reports have sensitivity labels. As soon as we try to deploy from one workspace to another we get this message.

Content protected with a sensitivity label can't be managed in a deployment pipeline. Before deploying the content, make sure none of the items currently being deployed in the source or target workspace have a sensitivity label. Learn more
Please check the technical details for more information. If you contact support, please provide these details.

I was wondering if anyone came across this issue and maybe knows how to work around it?

Kind Regards,

Anna.

please can you advise when this restriction is being deployed as it is creating issues with our customers - not good as surely you will have tested this before putting sensitivity labels out there - do I need to raise it as a full support ticket as a Gold Partner ?

@Anonymous can you provide more details as to the issues you are facing?

Also make sure you read the documentation part carefully, to be sure that the behvior you are experiencing is not as in the documentation.

If it's not, please open a support ticket.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Just as it said, before deploying the content, make sure none of the items currently being deployed in the source or target workspace have a sensitivity label.

Sensitivity labels are copied only when one of the conditions listed below is met. If these conditions are not met, sensitivity labels will not be copied during deployment.

  • A new item is deployed.

  • An item is deployed to an empty stage.

  • The source item has a label with protection and the target item doesn't. In such cases, a pop-up window asking for consent to override the target sensitivity label appears.

Best Regards

Lucien
