Power BI RLS or Permissions not working correctly - Failed to import Data

Hi,

I have set up RLS as per the following link (Filtering Data through DAX):

https://radacad.com/dynamic-row-level-security-with-profiles-and-users-in-power-bi

Below is some screen shots of how this is set up in Power BI Desktop:

This has been tested in Power BI Desktop and all works fine as intended (Rows of data are filtered depending on the user):

Before using ‘View as role’:

During ‘View as role’ – This was showing the correct results:

Below is how its set up up in Power BI Service:

- User name/email has been added to Row-Level Security (Dataset – Security):

- User has access to the dataset – Permission = Viewer (Dataset – Manage Permissions):

- User has read access to the report:

BUT....We are getting the following error:

Hi @sskinner ,

Could the user "Ryan Green" see the report properly in Service if you remove RLS?
