What does it cost to use the On Premises data Gateway?

On-premise data gateway doesn't have license costs.

It is reccomended to have a separate server for it, so the costs is the running cost of the server and the operation of it.

Below the requirements, according to my experience the 8 Core CPU is not mandatory usually 4 is fine

Minimum Requirements:

• .NET 4.6 Framework
• 64-bit version of Windows 7 / Windows Server 2008 R2 (or later)

Recommended:

• 8 Core CPU
• 8 GB Memory
• 64-bit version of Windows 2012 R2 (or later)

Hi there

There is no cost to use the On-Premise Data Gateway in either Personal or Enterprise mode.

The costs come in when you want to share a report with other users. If you are just using it for your own personal use then you can use Power BI and the Data Gateway for free.

Is there any way to get the legal statement for this? My IT Department refused to allow me to install a gateway without such statement. Do help if you know.
