I created a non premium workspace in the Power BI Service that contained four datasets. I then created some reports from these datasets and copied them over to an Premium workspace with the Embedded License mode. My reasoning for this was to reduce the resource utilization on the embedded capacity sku when the datasets are refreshing. I tested everything out and it worked fine for a couple of days. Then today I noticed that the reports that I set up this way would no longer load in the web app that displays these reports. I converted the regular workspace that the four datasets are in to a Premium Embedded workspace and that resolved the issue.
Any ideas as to why this would work initially but not anymore?

This was the reponse from Microsoft. I understand now why it was working initially and then stopped.
"The Embed tokens which we get from pro license that we got expired, that’s why the report started stopping to load.
Embed tokens with Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license are intended for development testing, so a Power BI master account or service principal can only generate a limited number of tokens. Purchase a capacity for embedding in a production environment. There's no limit to how many embed tokens you can generate when you purchase a capacity."

@Bit_Of_Data , Based on what I got. Premium workspace has its own capacity to run reports and hold data. Pro does not have that. That is why you are getting better performance

Thank you for your reply. I was thinking that this might be related to a security/permissions issue since I am using two different types of workspaces. I was curious if there were any technical issues with my initial approach. I have been able to have a report and its dataset reside in two sepearate Pro workspaces without issue. I waas hoping to do somthing similar with a Pro and an Embedded workspace.
