Hello dear community,
When creating a Power BI Embedded instance, Microsoft recommends selecting a node according to the maximum renderings per hour. I know that any interaction with an embedded report (drill down, data refresh) counts as rendering.
But how about embedding a report with streaming dataset in my application that receives and displays data in real time? Does every new data package count as rendering?
How should I take such a case into account when determining capacity?
Hi @marc_,
Please refer to the white page in the middle of this page. Though it doesn't make it clear, I think there could be only one query behind the real-time tiles. Or the page renders will be exhausted in a few minutes.
>>>What is a page render?
A page render is counted any time Power BI visuals are loaded on a page. A page refresh counts as a page render, as does any other page interactivity, like slice and dice, filtering, etc. Typically, multiple queries running on the backend cores1 translate to a page render. The load generated on the cores depends on the number of visual elements contained on a page. A typical page contains up to 10 visual elements.
Best Regards,
Dale
