Power BI Dataset Refresh using Custom Connector

Hi Team,

I created a custom connector in Power Apps by following the instructions mentioned in the below link by @konstantinos

https://medium.com/@Konstantinos_Ioannou/refresh-powerbi-dataset-with-microsoft-flow-73836c727c33

Everything works fine and I'm able to refresh a dataset in My Workspace.

I'm trying to follow the same method to refresh a dataset in my Premium Workspace group using the below URL Pattern in my 'Request' section of the custom connector,

https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/groups/{GroupID}/datasets/{DataSetID}/refreshes

But how many ever times I try even after updating the connectors , closing and opening the session again and testing I get the same "404 - Resource Not found" error.

Need help to have the Dataset in my group to be refreshed through custom connector.

Thanks

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Thanks Dale for guiding me, as you said the problem was I missed a digit while mentioning the Group ID.

Once I gave the proper Group ID, the connector works fine without any issue.

Now i'm getting the error as ,

Operation failed (401), see response below

Looks like some access is missing when I access thed ataset in group to refresh.

I'm the Owner of that dataset and I have all permissions towards the dataset, also in the App registered in Azure I have selected all Power BI options to Read and Write Datasets, View all Workspaces and everything.

What access am I missing?

Thanks

Hi @SuryaVee,

According to my test, we only can keep one reply URL. Please change it and try again.

Hi Dale,

Thanks for the reply.

I see that it works for you , but for me after removing the other irrelevant Reply URLs I'm still getting 401 error.

I have only the below URL as Reply URL for my app in Azure,
