Hi everyone,
I have created several Power BI reports and have published them to the cloud.
I have created a report for the Marketing division, HR Division and the Analytics Division. I've published them to the cloud, (I have premium capacity) and users have been able to interact with each report. reception is great, Thanks PBI!
I've been now tasked to create an actual dashboard -- I pinned several metrics into a dashboard, but the problem is I can't restrict the pages on the reports when I share the dashboard.
For example, when users go to the Dashboard and click on a marketing metric, it'll go to the marketing report, but I don't want them to see tab 3 of the report for example. I don't want to create another version of the same report just so that I can hide pages specifically for the Dashboard.
I put together a quick diagram, hopefully I am being clear.
Is there a easier way to do this?
Hi , @peterhui50
If you just pin a common tile, powerbi does not support hiding other tabs when the page jumps to the report.
As a workaround, you can consider pinning a live page rather than a single visual.
In this way,you don't have to worry about other tabs of the report being seen by users.
It directly prevents users from jumping to the report page from the dashboard page.
For your requirement , you can also add it as an idea on Power BI Ideas forum and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner.

Hi @peterhui50
Have you tried to deploy RLS to your report?

Yes, but it seems to limit and is able to filter the datasets, but it doesn't seem to do anything about pages
