Power BI App Security : nested IDWEB groups unable to access

Hello, I am facing an issue with Power BI App. While publishing App, I am granting access to specific groups e.,g. Group1, Group2. These are IDWEB groups. We have other groups (e.g. SubGroup1) which is another IDWEB group and it's a member of Group1. People who are members of SubGroup1 are unable to access App unless I add them individually in either Group1 / Group2. OR I add SubGroup1 along with Group1 & Group2 in App access. I am not sure if this is known issue. Please let me know. Thanks, Nisarg

Hi @nkkinariwala,

Based on my research, permissions which you set on or modify for a folder aren’t directly inherited by any subfolders; you’ll have to specifically set them on any subfolder as well if you want to allow access to it. So it seems to be the default behavior currently.

In addition, I would also suggest you ask your Exchange administrator to confirm if there is any option to change this default behavior for these groups from the Exchange Management ShellSmiley Happy
