Hi,
We have some reports which are already published in an app within a Power BI workspace.
The app's data refreshes when the underlying reports' data refreshes: so far so good.
However, I made a minor change to one of the reports yesterday to fix an issue spotted by an end-user.
I published the report and could see the corrected visual when I opened it on the Reports tab in Power BI service, but the app still showed the old version of the report.
I had to click the Update App button in the top right hand corner in order to see the new version.
Is there any way to automatically update the app after I re-publish a report like this and if so, how could we achieve that?
Regards,
Tim
@timbad - did you manage to find a way arounf this? I am currently in need of the same function 🙂
thanks!
No, sorry, I didn't.

Currently, reports in app will refresh automatically after the dataset is refreshed, you will not need to manually update the app. However, if you have changed any layout of the report (change chart, add new visuals, etc), then you will have to manually "update app".

Yes, I know that the data refreshes, that's why I asked specifically about a solution for when the report itself is updated.
In my case, I only fixed a minor issue with a misplaced filter, so we naturally expected that the app would update too.
However, thank you for pointing me in the direction of the ideas forum.
I'd encourage anyone else with the same issue to vote for the change here.
Thanks,

Maybe with something like Flow (PowerAutomate)?
Good idea. did you manage with PowerAutomate ?
That's a thought.
I'm not sure whether we have Flow setup in our organisation but I'll look into it.
Thanks
