Hi all,
I am having problem in pivoting a table on-line. It works in the desktop app but it is not working after the dataset is refreshed using a PBI gateway connection.
What I want to do is something like this. My raw data come from my datasource like this
time | kpi | value |
01/01/2019 | 1 | 3.4 |
01/01/2019 | 2 | 5.1 |
01/01/2019 | 3 | 4.3 |
02/01/2019 | 1 | 3.2 |
02/01/2019 | 2 | 5.6 |
02/01/2019 | 3 | 7.1 |
and the pivot operation tranform the table to something like this.
1 | 2 | 3 | |
01/01/2019 | 3.4 | 5.1 | 4.3 |
02/01/2019 | 3.2 | 5.6 | 7.1 |
The problem is that eventually I need to add a new kpi . For example kpi 4 in the last line bellow
time | kpi | value |
01/01/2019 | 1 | 3.4 |
01/01/2019 | 2 | 5.1 |
01/01/2019 | 3 | 4.3 |
02/01/2019 | 1 | 3.2 |
02/01/2019 | 2 | 5.6 |
02/01/2019 | 3 | 7.1 |
03/09/2019 | 1 | 2.1 |
03/09/2019 | 2 | 5.8 |
03/09/2019 | 3 | 9.1 |
03/09/2019 | 4 | 3.1 |
This should result (and actually result in the desktop app) in the following
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | |
01/01/2019 | 3.4 | 5.1 | 4.3 | |
02/01/2019 | 3.2 | 5.6 | 7.1 | |
03/09/2019 | 2.1 | 5.8 | 9.1 | 3.1 |
My problem is that the refresh work in the on-line report (I can see new values for the previous configured KPIs) but the new KPI do not appear as a column in the tranformed table. It looks like the pivot operation doesn't work.
Does anyone have already see something like that?
Thanks
Is there any update on this ? I am having the same issue.

Any news on this? It still is a problem. Pivot.Table works on Power BI desktop but doesn't work once deployed to service. The columns are not created. Refreshes are successful but the columns still don't show on the pivoted table.
Hi @dariva ,
I reproduced it. I'll contact to the engineers. If there is any new message, I will post here.
